Photos of Fujifilm Instax Square SQ6 leaked a couple of days ago, showing that Fujifilm’s new instant camera looks a lot like Instagram logo. This camera for the new generation of film shooters is now officially launched, ready for preorders and retailing at $130. Let’s take a look at the specs.

You may remember (or own) a Fujifilm Instax Square SQ10, which is an analog-digital hybrid. However, the new SQ6 is fully analog, meaning that there’s no digital sensor involved when capturing a photo. So, I guess the photos will have a genuine analog “feel” to them, rather than creating the wanted look digitally.

The Instax Square SQ6 comes with a built-in flash that uses auto mode to adjust the shutter speed and the level of flash and give you the optimal exposure. You also get three flash gels if you want to add a splash of orange, purple or green to your instant photos.

If you want to take a selfie, there’s also “selfie mode” available. It adjusts the flash and the focus to suit closer self-portraits. There’s a small mirror on the front to help you choose the right angle and compose the shot.

Fujifilm Instax Square SQ6 has a Macro Mode that lets you shoot at a range of 30-50cm. You can switch to a Landscape Mode if you want to shoot crisp photos from 2 meters to infinity. The camera is also equipped with Light/Dark mode, which is actually exposure compensation. With Double Exposure mode, the Instax Square SQ6 also lets you create double exposure images in-camera.

Here are the full specs of Instax Square SQ6:

Fujifilm Instax Square SQ10 is ready for preorders and starts shipping on 25 May. It’s available in three colors: pearl white, graphite gray, and blush gold, and the price is $130.
