The World Photography Organisation has just revealed the 2023 National Award winners of the prestigious Sony World Photography Awards (SWPA). This year, we’re treated with stunning photos from 55 countries worldwide and like every year, I believe you’ll enjoy the selection.

For the 2023 SWPA, photographers from over 200 countries and territories submitted over 415,000 images. Over 200,000 were entered to the Open competition, and the National Awards winner were selected from this batch. The winners come from 55 countries, each country having its own winner.

New to this year’s Awards are four new Regional Awards set up by the World Photography Organisation and Sony Europe. The new Awards puts a spotlight on photographic talent from a range of European countries, divided into four categories:

• Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, the Romania & Moldova Regional Award
• Latvia, Estonia & Lithuania Regional Award
• Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Bosnia & Herzegovina Regional Award
• Cyprus, Greece, Bulgaria & North Macedonia Regional Award.
